Warner Bros. studio is holding open casting calls looking for actors to play young Newt Scamander, Albus Dumbledore, Gellert Grindelwald, and more.
Interested in joining the Wizarding World? If you’re a teenage Potterhead who enjoys acting and loves Fantastic Beasts, now’s your chance to nab a role in the upcoming sequel: Warner Bros. Pictures is holding open casting calls!
Which roles do filmmakers need to fill? They’re looking for three actors aged 13-16 to play a young Newt Scamander, Leta Lestrange, and a character named Sebastian. Two more actors, aged 16-18, are required for the roles of the teenaged Gellert Gwindelwald and Albus Dumbledore.
As Pottermore notes, the new Fantastic Beasts film “marks an increasingly dark time for the wizarding world.” The announcement of these film roles has created buzz among Potter fans, who are excited to learn more about the youthful friendship-turned-enmity between Dumbledore and Grindelwald.
Acting hopefuls must be able to work in the UK and be free for filming from August to November 2017. No prior acting experience needed! Are you eligible? Take a swig of Felix Felicis and email firstname.lastname@example.org no later than 20 June 2017 with your contact information (telephone number and home address), date of birth, and a recent color photograph. If you’re under 18, have your parent or guardian send in the application.
The film is scheduled to come out in November 2018.
